Threads And Art by JJ
My name is June. I am married empty nester with a passion for creating a variety of crafts. I tend to create what I happen to be in the mood for at the time.
When did you start creating? Was there a specific moment or inspiration that led you to it?
I started creating as a young girl. I would watch my Grandfather create jewelry. I remember sitting in the garage watching him at his work bench. I always admired the beautiful jewelry that he made. I like to say that he inspired me to be creative.
What emotions, messages, or themes do you hope to convey through your work?
Happiness is what I hope my creations bring to someone.
What materials, tools, or techniques do you use, and why did you choose them? (This can include digital tools, traditional techniques, or unique processes.)
I use a variety of tools and techniques depending on what I am making. I like using crushed glass when I create mixed media art. When I make greeting cards I use various cutting tools such as die cutting and embossing tools as well.
What was the biggest challenge you faced in your creative journey, and how did you overcome it?
My biggest challenge has been finding an online platform to sell my creations that would be the right fit for me. How I overcame it, well I'm here aren't I?
Do you remember your first sale? How did it feel?
My first sale made me feel that I was happy to make someone else happy.
What are your future plans? What do you hope to achieve through your creative business?
My future plans is to start a greeting card line and to continue creating. I hope to someday have a successful creative business.
Are you working on any exciting new projects or collections?
I am currently working on a greeting card line. I will eventually have cards for all occasions.
Why did you choose to join ZART? How has our platform helped your creative business?
I chose Zart because I felt that they truly cared about helping an artist succeed. Zart has helped me by sharing my products on social media. I also feel that this is good fit for me as a selling platform for artists.
