I am on a mission to save animals! All of the proceeds from my artwork go to support various animal shelters and animal welfare organizations. I am passionate about giving glass and animals a 2nd chance and Junnimoon glass art is the perfect marriage of both.

When did you start creating? Was there a specific moment or inspiration that led you to it?

I volunteered at a local shelter and participated in a fund-raising craft fair. I donated all of my proceeds to the shelter and that was when I got the idea to try and raise funds on my own by doing something else I love--making old glass beautiful and unique.

What emotions, messages, or themes do you hope to convey through your work?

I hope when people see my pieces they are drawn to the uniqueness of each one. I hope it makes them feel peace, whimsy and most of all, hope.

What materials, tools, or techniques do you use, and why did you choose them? (This can include digital tools, traditional techniques, or unique processes.)

I find old glass and upcycle it into something new and unique. I have always loved stained glass, so I was drawn to art that simulated stained glass. I use paint, brushes, and other painting tools.

What was the biggest challenge you faced in your creative journey, and how did you overcome it?

Working with faux stained glass is tricky because it dries so fast. I've also had to learn how to mix and blend colors with it. Thank heaven for YouTube.
My biggest challenge has been finding an virtual marketplace and I'm hoping that Zart will help me overcome that obstacle.

Do you remember your first sale? How did it feel?

Yes! I sold almost all of my inventory at a charity craft fair. I felt like my "mission" had come alive and taken wings!

Has a customer ever shared a special story or reason for purchasing your work?
If yes, we'd love to hear more! What was their story?

One of my customers bought a nightlight --she said it made her think of the Aurora Borealis.

Another customer bought a faux stained glass pitcher. She said it made her feel rich, even though she wasn't.

Is there a particular piece or product that customers seem to love the most? What makes it special?

My "stained glass" art seems to be the most popular.

What are your future plans? What do you hope to achieve through your creative business?

My painting completely satisfies my creative need. I hope that doing something I love can benefit the other great love of my life, which are animals.

Are you working on any exciting new projects or collections?

I'm always working on new pieces, so I hope shoppers check in often.
