Crystal Art By Ana
I am a retired grandmother of 5 and great grandmother of 3. My favorite hobby was crocheting until I developed arthritis in my thumbs so I had to take a break. Making jewelry is so much easier and less time consuming compared to crocheting.
When did you start creating? Was there a specific moment or inspiration that led you to it?
I was given a clear quartz gemstone by a friend and was not able to find a jewelry cage large enough for it. While searching the internet I discovered some videos on how to wire wrap a large stone so I decided to give it a try since it didn’t look hard. That’s how I became fascinated with all the beautiful wire wrapped stone on the internet. I went to a stone shop and bout some small stones to wrap and I went to Michael’s and bought some copper wire. I am still learning and challenged by this amazing art.

I use gemstones, crystal beads and wrap them with silver plated wire to make pendants , earrings and bracelets.
What was the biggest challenge you faced in your creative journey, and how did you overcome it?
I am still learning the technique of wire wrapping. It takes lots of practice to learn and perfect wire wrapping.
Do you remember your first sale? How did it feel?
It feels good to sell and see that someone loves and appreciates your hard work.
Has a customer ever shared a special story or reason for purchasing your work?
If yes, we'd love to hear more! What was their story?
This customer bought a clear quartz necklace and she picked that one because she was attracted to it the most.
Is there a particular piece or product that customers seem to love the most? What makes it special?
I made a silver wire bunny rabbit pendant with pearl beads and a big pearl bushy tail which is popular.
What are your future plans? What do you hope to achieve through your creative business?
I hope to attract the young generation with my jewelry. Women are not into wearing jewelry sets anymore. Most wear earrings or a bracelet or just a chain.
Are you working on any exciting new projects or collections?
I am going to be making some bracelets that I believe will be loved by the young girls.
