When did you start creating? Was there a specific moment or inspiration that led you to it?

Ashley Candle began with a simple candle-making workshop. In that moment, I discovered how the act of pouring wax and blending scents brought me peace and focus. That experience showed me the magic of candles—not only as light, but as a way to release stress, explore creativity, and bring beauty into daily life.

What emotions, messages, or themes do you hope to convey through your work?

Through Ashley Candle, I hope to share calm, warmth, and inspiration. Each candle is carefully crafted with intention—every fragrance chosen to evoke a feeling, every detail poured with love. My goal is not just to make a candle, but to create little moments of peace and joy, helping people slow down and embrace the beauty of the present.

At the same time, I also want to share the knowledge and creativity behind candles—their many shapes, colors, and styles that reveal endless possibilities. By exploring and experiencing candle-making together, I hope more people can discover the joy and magic of this craft.

What materials, tools, or techniques do you use, and why did you choose them? (This can include digital tools, traditional techniques, or unique processes.)

At Ashley Candle, we use natural soy wax, high-quality fragrance oils, and cotton wicks to ensure a clean, safe, and long-lasting burn. Each material is chosen with care—not only for its performance, but also for the comfort and well-being it brings to the people who light our candles.

Every candle is poured by hand in small batches, allowing us to focus on the details—from blending scents with balance and harmony, to exploring different molds, shapes, and textures. This hands-on process makes each piece unique, carrying its own character and charm.

We also enjoy experimenting with design, from floral forms and vintage-inspired styles to minimalist cup candles. In addition, we offer custom creations tailored to different occasions, holidays, and personal needs. Whether it's a festive candle, a romantic piece for a special moment, or a cozy design for everyday life, we love working with our clients to create candles that truly reflect their stories.

What was the biggest challenge you faced in your creative journey, and how did you overcome it?

The biggest challenge for me was that Ashley Candle is my very first business. As I started this journey, there were moments of self-doubt and uncertainty, wondering if I could really make it work. What helped me overcome these challenges was focusing on the joy of creating and remembering why I began. Every candle I made carried my passion, and the positive feedback from customers gave me the encouragement to keep moving forward.

Do you remember your first sale? How did it feel?

Yes, I remember it clearly! My first sale was such an exciting moment. It wasn't just about selling a candle—it was about someone believing in my work. That support filled me with happiness and gave me the confidence to keep building Ashley Candle.

Has a customer ever shared a special story or reason for purchasing your work?

Yes! Some of my favorite experiences are when customers share the personal reasons behind their purchases. For example, I've created candles as wedding favors and also made cake-shaped candles as birthday gifts for friends. Each candle carries not only fragrance and light, but also the emotions and memories of those special moments. Knowing that my work can be part of such meaningful occasions is truly rewarding.

Is there a particular piece or product that customers seem to love the most? What makes it special?

Customers are always excited when they receive these special candles. What they love most is that each piece feels personal—whether it's tied to a celebration, a memory, or simply a thoughtful gift. The joy and satisfaction they share remind me why I love creating and inspire me to keep exploring new designs.

What are your future plans? What do you hope to achieve through your creative business?

My future plans focus on growing the visibility of Ashley Candle and sharing the beauty of handmade work with more people. I hope to host more in-person activities and candle-making workshops, giving customers a chance to experience the creativity and relaxation that candles bring. At the same time, I plan to strengthen my presence on social media and other new media platforms, so that Ashley Candle can reach and inspire a wider community.

Are you working on any exciting new projects or collections?

Yes! Recently, I've been working on refining some of my products and planning new activities and classes. These projects allow me to keep exploring fresh ideas while staying true to the heart of Ashley Candle—creativity, warmth, and connection.
